Hello, everyone. I'm the Executive Director of Okayama Kyokuto Hospital.
We are providing excellent medical service, being supported by our community.
The Okayama Kyokuto Hospital's visions are
1) Providing excellent health care with trusts of patients.
2) Being " the hospital with a heart".
3) Having a NETWORK for a health community.
4) Every Kyokuto's staff enjoy and have a self-esteem with working
here
in Okayama Kyokuto Hospital. |
We think it's important to treat everyone with respect and dignity, and
interact
each other for our improvement. Okayama Kyokuto Hospital, specialized as
the
hospital of neurosurgery, has a wide range of medical departments, including
neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic surgery, radiology, rehabilitation,
medicine
and anesthesiology , as well as cardiocirculatory as full time service.
We also
have a organization consists of visiting nurses called "TANPOPO"
and operate an
affiliate hospital, OKAYAMA REHABILITATION HOSPITAL, which provides rehabilitation
and
primary care.
The OKAYAMA KYOKUTO HOSPITAL has been striving for being the "ONLY
ONE" hospital. |

Okayama Station.

| OKAYAMA KYOKUTO HOSPITAL HISTORY |
On November 11th in 1983, Motoyuki Doi (now the vice executive director)
opened KYOKUTO Hospital of orthopedics surgery with 19 beds.
On December 1st in 1984, new KYOKUTO Hospital of orthopedics surgery started,
bringing beds to 40.
On March 1st in 1988, Akihiro Doi became the new executive director and
renamed OKAYAMA KYOKUTO HOSPITAL, bringing bed to 102. MRI device was
installed.
On August 1st in 1991, new MRI device facility built. The second MRI device
started being used to treat patients. Brain checkup began.
On April 1st in 1997, west facility was added. This expansion brings beds
total to
124. Institute for rehabilitation opened.
On June 1st in 1997, new nursing system started.
On May 1st in 1998, bringing beds up to 162.

| VISION |
| 1) We provide excellent health care with trusts of our patients. |
| Patients could leave to us as pleasant as possible that's because they
trust us. We put great effort into fostering education for physicians and
healthcare practitioners, improving the system of hospital management,
our medical devices and facilities. We think following two basic elements
are important to manage a hospital, clean finance and training of personnel. |
| 2) OKAYAMA KYOKUTO HOSPITAL is "the hospital with a heart". |
| Hospital management is in service industries, but it is doubtful that it
works in the way it should be. It is essential for medical service to provide
the possible care with informed-consent in "the hospital with a heart". We focus on discussing the topic "the rights of patients". |
| 3) We have a NETWORK for a healthy community． |
| Okayama Kyokuto Hospital and other medical institutions support each other
to provide patients with the best health care from the patient's point
of view. We have a Medical Coop Information Center to share a lot of useful
information. Our task is to become "Only One" hospital with providing
specialty care. |

4) Every Staff enjoy and have a self-esteem with working here in Okayama
Kyokuto Hospital.

| We believe that a good hospital for the staffs is a good hospital for the
patients. Every staff can express him/herself and have self-esteem through
working at a "good hospital". Why do people work? We think people
work for themselves, for their families and from their consciences for
the first stage, and this way of thinking expands to our mission awareness
; working for our patients and community. Work-place is the stage for every
staff. "Perform your play with your best efforts," and I am the
role of " stage-manager". |
